About

As followers of Jesus Christ, we are motivated to demonstrate God’s unconditional love for all people (regardless of religion, gender, or race) and serve alongside the most vulnerable populations. We believe Field of Hope has been gifted and called to bring hope to these individuals and break the destructive cycle of hunger and poverty through agriculture development. By helping the one, we are helping their families and communities.

We are inspired by the model laid out in Deuteronomy 24:19-21 which pairs opportunities for people to have their needs met (the field) with a willingness to work (going into the field to harvest the crops). When these two principles are in place, a person’s dignity is affirmed as they receive a hand-up, not a hand-out.

As agriculture has proven to be a motivator of change from both a nutrition standpoint and an economic standpoint, we feel called to lend our expertise to this sector and the various people involved in it across the globe.

“When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.”

Deut. 24: 19

We strive to develop agricultural knowledge and enthusiasm among youth and smallholder farmers to develop communities to be both nutritionally food secure and economically empowered.
